Issues seen at Cooper Child & Adolescent Counseling include anger, depression, ADHD, school issues, self injury, at risk issues, abuse, parenting skills help, trauma, substance use, and many other mental, emotional, and behavioral issues.

Your counselor is trained in play therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive processing therapy, reality therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, psychological first aid, and parenting coordination.

Your counselor has licenses in professional counseling and chemical dependency and is certified in play therapy, cognitive processing for trauma, and training in cps cases and at risk children with juvenile justice.

Everything you discuss with your counselor remains confidential with few exceptions. If you give permission for information to be released you specify who receives information, what they can receive, and the period of time they can receive information. Common situations are insurance requests or medical requests. Parents have a right to receive progress reports regarding their child. However, personal information shared by a child will be kept confidential unless it involves danger to the child or to someone else.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Registered Play Therapist with a Masters Degree from University of Houston-Clear Lake and I have over 15 years of experience working with children and adolescents as well as working with Child Protective Services and at risk children.


Individual counseling, play therapy, trauma therapy, substance abuse therapy, dual diagnosis and help with parenting.

I have a grown son and daughter and I know your challenges as a parent. I have a play therapy room for children and a session office for adolescents. I work with traumatized children with a curriculum for PTSD that is used for the armed forces.
